Version: 2.4 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3.4 (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.20050620 I can't move to the next/previous tab with shortcuts, only clicking on the documents names. I've tried to change the shortcuts to different keys, but to no help. I tried also to change some other functionality to the original shortcuts (I was using Alt+Right/Alt+Left), and they work. For instance, configuring "About" to Alt+Right works. Funny thing is that they used to work ... It makes it impossible to use kate to edit many files. Thanks!
here that works, can somebody reproduce the problem? And, are you talking about switching the documents via alt-* or switching the tabs?
Ops, some days latter I found the problem, I forgot to report back, sorry. I was trying to reprogram the "Next Tab" and "Previous Tab" functionality, or the equivalent to change to the next/previous "working" document, as in other programs (konsole, konqueror). But that functionality is mapped to "Forward" and "Back" shortcut keys in kate. It seems an inconsistency for me, or I might have misunderstood the concept. k, than this is solved, yes, back/forward might be not the best idea, but I think it worked out good enough to be now changed
